As I start to feel more and more at home here in Milan, I’m beginning to venture out and explore more of the amazing towns in Italy. My first weekend here I decided to head out on a day trip to Bergamo, Italy with some of my amazing new friends. We took a short train 45 minutes northeast of Milan and found ourselves transported into a quiet and quaint mountain town carved into the Italian hill country. Bergamo was a pleasant change from the busy and crowded streets of Milan. We spent our day touring a chocolate market, hiking up the mountain and enjoying the amazing food, shopping and views that Bergamo has to offer. This was a lovely first trip out of Milan with even better company, and I can’t wait to be back in Bergamo soon!
